Asas Dunia Berhad was incorporated on 18th December 1982 as a property developer cum contractor. The company was listed on main board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 25th January 1995. The Company has completed 19,400 units of mix development projects comprising of residential, commercial and industrial buildings since incorporation and it is targeting to launch a few mixed development projects in Central and South District of Seberang Perai in the near future when there is a rebound in the global economy. These will have a total gross development value of RM134.8 million.
Prudently managed with very minimal bank borrowings, the Company's present focus is on the residential sector specifically for the middle income group in choice parcels of land extending from Kulim, Kedah to Sungai Bakap, Seberang Perai Selatan and Seberang Perai Tengah.
As at 31 December 2008, the Group has about 1,480 acres of strategically located landbank held for development. All the Group’s properties are free from encumbrances and have substantially appreciated in value since acquisition. The development value of the buildings when erected on the Company’s landbank will be in the region of RM2.9 billion. The Federal Government’s plan to construct the Second Bridge has also generally enhanced the value of the Group’s properties and developments.
